John Hynes and his wife Sarah Mikla Hynes moved to Nashville in 2020 to be closer to the Predators. The couple is now raising three daughters.

The Hynes couple has impacted their kids’ lives and kept them physically active by involving them in sports. 

John is currently coaching the Nashville Predators of the NHL. However, he also has a track record of serving as an assistant coach. 

Before he started his coaching journey, he was a former athlete. Hynes, a 1997 Boston University alumnus, played as a forward for the Terriers for three seasons and also competed in four consecutive NCAA Frozen Four playoffs.

Predator coach John Hynes is married to his beloved wife, Sarah Mikla. Mrs. Hynes also tries to attend all her husband’s team matches, sits among the crowd, and cheers to them. 

She was born in Hammond, Wisconsin, in September of the ’70s. 

They reportedly met for the first time in the weighing room of the university. Since then, the couple started to have conversations and slowly fell for one another. However, the Hynes pair has not openly talked about their love life.  

For her education, Mikla attended St. Croix Central School and passed out in 1991. Further, she did her bachelors from the University of Pittsburgh in movement science. But besides studies, she was into sports and extra curriculum activities. 

John Hynes Wife Is A Former Athlete And A Coach

Sarah Mikla Hynes is a former athlete who used to play volleyball at the collegiate level. While attending Pittsburgh, she was a four-year letter-winner from 1992-95 in sports.

During her senior year, Mikla was named team caption. Later she received a Senior Student-Athlete of Distinction recognition, among her best achievements of that year. Nevertheless, in 1994 she was awarded All’Big East too. Not to forget, she is a two-time Academic All ‘Big East selection too. 

Sarah was considered one of the strongest Division I players. After her bachelor’s level, she joined her previous university for a master’s degree in teaching health and physical education. In the meantime, she was also serving her sports team as the graduate assistant volunteer volleyball coach. 

With all her volleyball experiences, Mikla served the industry as the Division I assistant coach. She was also a Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club coach for two years. And three years at Oak Creek High School. But it was not only the sports she used to teach. She served as a teacher of health and physical education too. 

Further, in 2000 Mikla became an assistant coach at the University of Daytona. She was associated with the team for two years, and within that time, Mikla coached seven all-conference and four all-region players. 

As mentioned on the Wisconsin Badgers, Sarah served the firm as the director of the volleyball operation. 

John Hynes Has Have Three Kids With His Wife Sarah

John Hynes and Sarah are blessed with three adorable daughters, Sophia, Julia, and Anna. The couple did not rush to have a baby as soon as they got married. They took their time and first focused on their career. 

When John was named Wilkes-Barre team coach for the first time in 2009, at the same time, the pair had their first baby girl, Sophia. Later, the duo welcomed Julia and then Anna. 

Being raised by coach parents, it was quite assured that Hynes kids would also have a keen interest in the sports. 

The answer was suspense for a long time before Sarah revealed that the girls seemed more interested in volleyball. The mother of three revealed it to the Republican Eagle long ago.  

Their daughter has already gotten older, and their eldest is attending Ravenwood High School, currently in sophomore year. Sophia reportedly plays volleyball in her leisure time. But besides sports, her interest lies in drawing and painting. 

The first child of the Hynes couple plans to pursue her career in another field. After completing high school, she is looking forward to studying subjects leading to her profession as a nurse or physician assistant. 

Hynes Left Nashville With His Family

John had just joined the Predators, and while he was leaving his house in Nashville and thinking of moving with his family. While the NHL season was paused because of the Covid pandemic, most of his team players were staying home; he remained busy.

The Predators coach was moving to New Jersey along with his wife and three daughters. In the meantime, he was also trying to get away from the TikTok reels that his daughters were making.

Although he was busy unboxing the boxes, the new team coach made time to make coordinate with his new team members.
